Reggie Joiner & Sharon Ketcham
Reggie Joiner is founder and CEO of Orange (also known as The reThink Group), a nonprofit organization that helps churches and parents maximize their influence on the spiritual growth of the next generation. Orange designs innovative curriculum, resources and training for leaders to create relevant strategies for preschoolers, elementary children, teenagers, college students and families. Reggie was one of the founding pastors of North Point Community Church in Georgia. Over the course of his eleven years with North Point, Reggie led a team to develop innovative concepts of ministry to empower families and churches for greater effectiveness. He created KidStuf, a weekly environment where kids bring their parents to learn about God, and he joined with a handful of leaders to create the Catalyst Conference. Reggie is the author of several books including Think Orange: Imagine the Impact When Church and Family Collide, Parenting Beyond Your Capacity, The Orange Leader Handbook, Slow Fade, Lead Small, and co-wrote Seven Practices of Effective Ministries.
Sharon Galgay Ketcham is an associate professor of Christian ministries at Gordon College and a doctoral candidate at Boston College in theology and education. Sharon’s two decades of experience in youth ministry include serving in full-time ministry, speaking at both student and youth worker conferences, research and writing, teaching, and mentoring college students. These varied experiences fostered her commitment to empowering congregations to intentionally incorporate youth as a central part of the community of faith. Her current research interests include the social environment of learning, ecclesiology, and the relational processes of adolescent development.
