Berea serves the whole Church

Berea was founded in 1945 by 15 churches from the Plymouth Brethren movement. Today, Berea serves over 680 churches and 10,000 people annually.

Berea transcends geography. Greenhouse is a ministry of Berea, which creates and curates training environments to help churches thrive. These one-day, off-site training events are another way that we serve and resource New England churches.

From our Women’s Retreat and Man Camp events in the fall, to our Mother-Daughter and Father-Son Retreats in May and June, to our youth Summer Camp and  Family Camp programs in the summer,  Berea serves the whole family.

We recently coordinated a group of over 100 teenage volunteers to descend upon the tiny town of Hebron to help ready the beaches, roads, hiking trails, and local attractions for the busy summer season.

Looking Forward…

Over the past couple of years, we’ve hired several new full-time staff, launched multiple new Regional Events, and re-tooled our winter camp program, Deep Freeze. And there’s still a lot of exciting (and top secret) stuff on the horizon that we can’t wait to share with you!

Our Mission:

Berea’s mission is to create and continuously develop programs which appeal to children, teens, adults and families such that they respond to the message of Jesus Christ within the context of meaningful relationships and memorable experiences.

In short, our goal is to change lives for Jesus Christ.
